Transitional Kindergarten is designed for children who turn 5 between September 1 and February 28 of the current school year. TK children are presented with opportunities to learn self-regulation as well as a biblically-based, academic foundation in phonics, number sense, handwriting, and God’s word. TK children learn that God created them and has a plan for them. TK children learn best by doing, so teachers offer hands-on activities that keep students engaged in the learning process through small group and large group instruction.
