Kindergarten is designed for children who turn 5 on or before September 1 of the current school year. Kindergarten children are presented with opportunities to learn about the Bible and Christian character values as well as academic instruction in math, reading, phonics, handwriting, science, geography, history and art. Kindergarten children begin to put letters and sounds together to read and write. They also learn sight words and adding and subtracting within 10. Hands on science activities bring scientific concepts to life while exploring what God’s word says about the scientific process. Teachers keep students engaged by offering technology and active learning opportunities.
